From Google to FMS (and Back)

A nasty surprise lay in wait in the FMS inbox on Monday morning.

A message from Google no less.

Dear Blogger User,

We’re writing to tell you about an upcoming change to the Blogger Content Policy that may affect your account.

In the coming weeks, we’ll no longer allow blogs that contain sexually explicit or graphic nude images or video. We’ll still allow nudity presented in artistic, educational, documentary or scientific contexts, or where there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action on the content.

The new policy will take effect on 23 March 2015. After this policy comes into force, Google will restrict access to any blog identified as being in violation of our revised policy. No content will be deleted, but only blog authors and those with whom they have expressly shared the blog will be able to see the content that we’ve made private.

Our records indicate that your account may be affected by this policy change. Please refrain from creating new content that would violate this policy. We would also ask you to make any necessary changes to your existing blog to comply as soon as possible so that you won’t experience any interruptions in service. You may also choose to create an archive of your content via Google Takeout (https://www.google.com/settings/takeout/custom/blogger).

For more information, please look here (https://support.google.com/blogger?p=policy_update).

Yours sincerely,
The Blogger Team

As a result of this, FMS is going to have to change.

The idea of making the blog “private” goes against the whole ethos of spreading the female muscle lovin’ word. If the blog is not publicly searchable or accesible, with only a limited readership required to sign in to view it, then I’d rather not bother.

Option 2 is to do as they say. Go back through the blog, deleting content that violates their policy. We’ll still allow nudity presented in artistic, educational, documentary or scientific contexts, or where there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action on the content, they say. But as my definition of art (eg. Lisa Cross‘ body) is unlikely to match theirs, I could spend days removing “sexually explicit or graphic images” only to find I have not deleted enough and get slapped anyway.

All in all, I’m quite offended by this. FMS is, indeed, an adult blog, but I would argue it is adult in the sense of “not childish” (unless C. Moore Glootz is editing, of course), rather than in the sense of “porn”. And to be given that label (though I have nothing against porn, God forbid) belittles what I have been trying to do here over the last few years – during which time, I might add, I have had just ONE (a notable exception indeed, but hardly typical) request to remove content, and even then it wasn’t because the content was in any way too “sexually explicit or graphic”.

So, as I sit here typing, the fire of indignation burning inside, my preferred option for the future, my only option perhaps if FMS is to have a meaningful, public future, is migration to another blog hosting site. WordPress is the favourite, so I’ll ask anyone who knows of any good reason why I shouldn’t just take the whole damn thing over there instead to speak now or forever hold your peace.

I’m sorry to say that this whole debacle means the posting of the FMS Hot and Hard 100 2015 countdown will be slightly delayed. Not for long, if the process of archiving and reupping the blog to Wordress is as seamless as they claim, but delayed nonetheless. Sorry to keep you waiting. The 100 hottest and hardest women in the world (according to you lovely readers) will be revealed in all their glory at FMS‘ new home as soon as possible. I will, of course, tell you where that new home is right here.

Big love to all the voters, and all the supporters of the blog.

Offensive? I’ll show you offensive…

Swell Digs: The Hot and Hard 100 2014 pdf

I would love in a near future to be able to go to the newsagents and come across a beautiful edition of the FMS Hot and Hard 100, just like FHM.

So wrote one reader (and voter) after last year’s Hot and Hard 100 poll, prompting FMS to dream big and put out an appeal to you readers to produce a pdf, a slideshow or a compilation clip of the women you voted the hottest and hardest of all.

Even at that early stage just after the results had been posted, I was delighted to report that an offer to make a pdf had been received, and promised to make it available as soon as it is ready. Well, it turns out that it took a while (!) but almost a year on from our first Hot and Hard 100 poll, here it is…

THE FMS HOT and HARD 100 2014 pdf

My thanks to its creator, our old friend, the UK’s Female Muscle Blogger in Chief, PumpItUp, for giving up so much of his precious time and energy to put it together. It is, by his own admission, a bit rough and ready, but no less special for that.

Not quite the same as the dream of walking into the newsagents, but it’s a start. If you think you can do better, you’ll soon have your chance to prove it. Voting is open for the FMS Hot and Hard 100 2015 and the last day for votes February 20th. The results will be posted here at the beginning of March (with a bit of luck).

Check the rules and how to vote here.

Jamie Pinder (last year 79th) & Loana Muttoni (19th)

Where will they come this year?

Swell Digs: Passion FBB

imagebam.com

If you are looking for the big girls, and I mean the really big girls on Tumblr these days, there’s only really one place where you’ll find them – with regular updates and without self-reverential snide comments anyway. Pdgde, or, as the homepage is entitled, Passion FBB, has just a single word in its description: Bodies.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

It’s a description you can’t fault. Bodies is most certainly what you get. There are old school bodies (fans of Laura Binetti, for instance, should definitely explore the blog). There are bodies in the gym, veins popping, muscles pumped and swollen to their limits. There’s glamour, candids, comparisons, contests, selfies, scans… And a lot of it is stuff I haven’t seen elsewhere. Original stuff, rare stuff.

imagebam.com

Recently, the blog has also featured the author’s own edited clips. Ten or twenty seconds edited out of a longer clip, they are sort of extended gifs. Super gifs, if you like. Examples: Sheila Bleckhere – and an unknown pair of thighs (huge) – here.

imagebam.com

And the title, Passion FBB, too, is thoroughly appropriate. You can sense (well, I can sense it anyway) the author’s passion for these incredible specimens in the sheer variety and scope of big, bold and beautiful female muscle on display. I can’t get enough of it. It’s a wondrous collection he’s putting together. And, it’s also relatively recent (beginning last August) and a work in progress that, like the women it features, gets bigger and better with every passing day. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Go explore. Go follow.

Swell Digs: The Return of Ozzy Female Muscle

I really wanted to push some limits, in my drawing, in my fantasies…

imagebam.com

Having given us just two posts in the last two years, French female muscle blogger and friend of FMS Ozzy Female Muscle has started 2015 in a prolific mood. If things don’t change, I will be able to post more. I really hope so! he tells us. So do we.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

In fact, Ozzy’s not just in the midst of (for him, anyway) a veritable posting frenzy, he’s also thinking about taking commissions and doing comics, and appealing for advice on both counts. He’s also looking for someone to colour his sketches, and someone else to save him the time-consuming job of translating from his native French into English.

imagebam.com

Why not get in touch if you can help him with any of those things?

imagebam.com

Keep pushing those limits, Ozzy. It’s good to have you back!

FBBUK: Rene Goes Public (FMS Stays Private)

When was the last time female muscle fans were in the mainstream media?

As far as the UK is concerned, the last time I can recall was the rather infamous segment of Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends when the eponymous presenter meets a few at the Jan Tana, as well as Maria Calo and her (then?) husband.

Since then, Brian Eno has said he likes a muscular woman (see FMS passim), but I really can’t remember another instance – and please to tell me if I’m wrong – where us fans of female bodybuilding have been given either airtime or column inches.

But a couple of weeks ago, FBB fans found themselves in the very mainstream UK magazine Closer as part of a story about the ever-beautiful Rene Campbell.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Strangers love my muscles and beg me to marry them! it reads on the front cover.

Inside, under the headline: Bodybuilding Mum: “Men think my muscles are sexy – strangers ask to marry me!”, we learn that Bigorexic Rene Campbell says she gets more attention from men as a bodybuilder than when she was a petite size eight.

There’s Rene, NUDE! And only her tastefully positioned legs and well-placed arm preventing that week’s Closer from having to be displayed on the topmost shelf.

Her muscles, the story continues, have made her an unlikely sex symbol with thousands of men viewing her pictures online everyday. Well, OK. I, and I dare say you, dear reader, may have been guilty of a bit of that. But there’s more…

Rene, 37, has had more than 10 marriage proposals from strangers and last Valentine’s Day received several bouquets of flowers from secret admirers. “Men tell me I’m sexy and I’ve had marriage proposals from guys all over the world.”

Really?

I’ve been writing this blog a while now, and as a result I’ve had the pleasure of contact with a number of fellow female muscle fans from both the UK and elsewhere. Now, I wouldn’t say that all of them are exactly what you’d call “normal” (who among us is?) but they are most certainly not in the business of asking Rene Campbell – or any of their favourite female bodybuilders for that matter – to marry them.

So, who the hell are these guys, these poor souls who, without any hint of irony, write forum posts like ‘If only Aleesha Young were single…’? Who are they and why do they get all the attention? Why isn’t Closer writing about professional men in their late 30s, not at all the kind of timid, skinny live-with-mother types some would paint all female muscle fans as. They’re moderately successful, they’re property-owning, educated, eloquent guys who just happen to have a thing for muscular women…

Well, I have a confession to make.

I had the opportunity to talk to a journalist from Closer and I didn’t take it.

Now, unlike the marry-me-Rene brigade, I am not deluded – well, not as deluded at least. I’m not saying it would have changed anything about the Rene story, nor that Closer would have been interested in what I have to say and published ‘my’ story instead or as well as Rene’s. If I’d made out I was a proposal maker or bouquet sender then maybe – maybe – I’d have had a little quote in there somewhere.

In fact, I procrastinated for some time after I was contacted (not by the magazine, note, but by an intermediary), and let the moment pass. Now I somewhat regret that the opportunity to represent the silent majority of female muscle fans, to paint an alternative picture of us, has gone, but, though tempted, being the spokesperson for the entire female muscle lovin’ brethren is not something I would want to be.

imagebam.com

But anyway, about Rene.

Seems she’s on a bit of a publicity mission. Not only has she got her name (and naked body, remember) in mainstream print, but she also made an appearance, in late November, on The X-Factor (about as mainstream and prime time a TV show as you are ever going to get) as part of a backing act for one of the performances.

And Rene has starred in a music video as well. I mean, really starred.

The Closer story then (new pictures of Rene and bonus clip of her working out all pumped up aside), not really worth the read. The X-Factor appearance (aside from Rene’s own Facebook pictures of the day), not really worth bothering with.

But the music video, which was directed by Jack Newman for Bullion Productions, is definitely worth four minutes and twenty-four seconds of your time.

Oh, what a surprise – I recommended by far the least mainstream thing!

This is 6ft1swell, for FMS, staying well out of the limelight…

Olympia Review 2014: "My Olympia"

When we asked you lovely readers if you wouldn’t mind sharing your experiences of the Olympia weekend (“My Olympia”: Contributions Wanted!), we weren’t expecting to get thousands of responses, but we had hoped we’d get more than one!

Fortunately, it’s beaut (as the man himself might say), all the way from Australia – so you should bear in mind while reading that because of the time difference, the Ms Olympia was on Friday 19th September, but it was already Saturday 20th in Oz.

“Ozzy’s Olympia”

As usual, like many lovers of big muscles (I should probably say “addict”, by the way) I was impatiently waiting for this year Ms Olympia, mostly to see our “real” Queen of Muscle Alina, and to drool in front of Anne Freitas’s unbelievable ass…

And I was not disappointed!

This Saturday, I was working, but I could not stop thinking about what was taking place at the same time, far, far away from me. I was thinking, “At this moment, maybe Alina is on stage, maybe she’s winning this Ms O”, or “In what state of mind are all of those ladies?” and, of course, “How can those judges stay calm during the show? I mean, they HAVE to jerk off at least once, don’t they? Just to be able to do their job quietly!”

And the morning passed, and during the lunchtime break, I quickly went online to check if there were any vids or pics of the event… And they were all available!!! I immediately looked at them, of course, but I had to go back to work, so I only looked at what was most important to me: Anne’s ass! And, oh boy, it was really, really difficult not to wank immediately but I had to wait…

imagebam.com imagebam.com

All afternoon I couldn’t get the pics of her out of my head. One in particular… I was continually thinking about her crotch. She looked like she had developed some new muscles, and that her vagina had now totally mutated into some new thing! And, all the time, I was thinking “Oh my god, how good it must be to be inside it…”

And when I came back home, it was too late to jerk off, because my girlfriend was already there… I had to wait until Monday (!!!) to finally release my load in front of Anne’s magnificent ass… And, of course, I’d had the image in my mind for two days, so it was only a formality to do it… it took only a few seconds before I ejaculated…

A week after, I’m still obsessed by this picture, and I’ve already jerked off twice in front of it today…

Many thanks to Ozzy for taking the time to share his Olympia weekend experience.

Check out Ozzy Female Muscle “The Blog of a Man Who Loves Muscular Women”, sadly rarely updated these days, but there’s a fair old archive to explore nevertheless.

If Ozzy has inspired you to write about whatever it was you were thinking and doing during the Olympia weekend, please email me: 6ft1swell@gmail.com.

I look forward to hearing your stories.

Thanks again to Ozzy!

Olympia 2014 Review: FMS Awards

Judging by the post-Olympia buzz, it’s fair to say the star of the Olympia 2014 was probably Juliana Malacarne, and all things considered it’s hard to disagree that she had the muscles, the performance and the most exciting win of the weekend.

But who else made an impression on the FMS “judges”?

It’s time to find out as, with our tongues quite clearly in our cheeks, we bring you the first (and possibly the last but you never know) FMS Ms Olympia Awards!

(and no, we couldn’t ignore Juliana either…)

The Ursula Andress Award for Best Entrance
JULIANA MALACARNE for her “Praying Mantis”

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Juliana is on the right, in case you were confused.

Biggest Bulge
SIMONE OLIVEIRA

imagebam.com imagebam.com

If it’s bulge you want, the NAC is where it’s at. “Classy” shows like the Olympia, where care is taken to mask that little bit extra, are not usually the best bulge hunting grounds. But Simone, in the bright pink posing suit she wore during the prejudging, made a bid to impress the judges with her fbb special. Unless it’s padding. Might be.

The “Suit You, Madam” Award for Sexiest Posing Suit
YAXENI ORIQUEN, Prejudging

imagebam.com imagebam.com

The fashion this year seemed to be for bright, multi-coloured swirly patterns with plenty of sparkle, but FMS is an old school female muscle head who likes his posing suits to be of the old school style – one colour and very VERY revealing.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

So, despite competition from Christine Envall‘s gold and Alana Shipp‘s blue prejudging suits, Yaxeni gets the award for squeezing her mighty muscles into her trusty old black posing suit, and once again giving us the pleasure of watching her pecs stretch the bejesus out of it and her glutes threaten to make it disappear altogether.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Perhaps one day that much-abused fabric will give up and fall apart when she hits her side chest pose. Perhaps that’s the moment when Yaxeni, with her muscle breasts bared, will finally call it a day for both her Olympia career AND her suit.

Proudest Smile
CYDNEY GILLON lights up the auditorium

imagebam.com imagebam.com

We’ve noted the divine Ms Gillon’s dazzle before on FMS (see Chicago 2014: Olympia Bound), and she didn’t disappoint on her Olympia debut. From the moment she stepped onto the stage she looked happier than Pharrell Williams when he checks his bank balance, and, if anything that smile got even bigger and brighter for the finals.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

We also wanted to give Cydney an award for the impressive way her posing suit thong thing became visibly tauter when she flexed her glutes, but we couldn’t think of a snappy name for the award, so let’s just take it as another kind of smile…

The Never Noticed That Before Award for New Bits
ALINA POPA

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Check it out! Just below and a bit to the right of the number 10 and directly opposite that. What muscles are they? And while you are down there, you might as well peruse that area in general for new bits that emerge from and disappear into her posing suit. Anne Freitas had something similar going on down there without the kind of detail Alina has. What, I wonder, are the movements that develop those muscles?

The Andrulla Blanchette Award for Best Brit

Will hopefully have a winner next year…

Most Unexpected Flex
ALICIA COATES‘ biceps

imagebam.com imagebam.com

White Men Can’t Jump, and Figure Girls Don’t Flex… unless they are Alicia Coates, who gave us the left in the prejudging and (only slightly less unexpected) the right in the finals, both with a big old Grrrrr. Oh, we DO like your style, Alicia!

The Express Yourself Award
LA’DRISSA BONIVEL

imagebam.com imagebam.com

And we DO like a bit of emoting with our flexing too, and while there was plenty of that in the routines across the divisions, La’Drissa Bonivel‘s prejudging flexes were accompanied by an emote-fest that makes her a clear winner in this category.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Sadly, these still images don’t do justice to quite how expressive the la’lovely La’Drissa was, but hopefully they’ll give you a taste. Track down video if you can for the FULL emote – FMS might be able to point you in the right direction. Drop us an email.

The Cinara Polido Award for Involuntary Flexing
SIMONE OLIVEIRA‘s glutes and hamstrings

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Apt that a Brazilian should win this award given it is named after one (see Cinara’s gluteal spasms from the NABBA Universe 2013). Simone didn’t have a great night at the Olympia, finishing 13th out of 13, but this is the second award she’s picked up tonight (albeit an award for something beyond her control). The pictures can’t possibly convey just how much her glutes and hamstrings were putting on their own flexing show, so you will have to take our word for it, or, alternatively, check Simone out in the prejudging here from about the eleven-minute mark. And those fast-twitching muscles didn’t stop twitching for her routine, either, so check that out too – right here.

Ms Granite Glootz Olympia (chosen by C. Moore Glootz)
ALANA SHIPP

imagebam.com imagebam.com

You know C. Moore isn’t joking when he says he carefully checked every single pair in every single division before making his final choice. And a HARD choice it was. Alina Popa, Anne Freitas, Christine Envall and Ms 10x herself all made C. Moore’s short list, but in the end Alana’s sculpted bunz emerged as clear winners.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

My loins are on fire, C. Moore told us. All that DETAIL, magnificent ripplage. And so TIGHT, like it’s an advantage that she’s not the biggest. All that hard gloot muscle packed into such a small area. Imagine how DENSE they must be. And Alana KNOWS they’re special, C. Moore can tell cos she spent like 90% of her routine with her glootz right up in the judges faces. If C. Moore in the front row… UNNNNGH!

The “Me Flex It Longtime” Award for the Longest Held Pose
MYRIAM CAPES

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Surprisingly, it’s a Fitness competitor who we reckon held a pose for the longest. Myriam Capes, as noted yesterday, treated the audience to a big old most muscular near the end of her routine – and certainly took her time about it, winding it up before hitting it HARD, and then holding … holding… and holding some more!!!

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Honestly, I believe women have given birth in less time than Myriam took over her big muscle finish, and when she was finally done the end of her routine almost seemed to be something of an afterthought. “Damn I am pumped UP! Oh, the music’s still going… well, I’ll just jump in the air and do a twist and that should do it… YEAH!”

The Diana Dennis Award for Best Bodybuilding Routine
SHEILA BLECK

Serious one this, like the “Best Film” or “Best Song” of the FMS Olympia Awards…

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Alina was all grace and beautiful poses, I enjoyed Jennifer Sedia‘s funky routine a lot more than I’d imagined I would, and FMS fave Margie Martin‘s sass and size definitely got the blood pumping, but, predictably, the winner is… Sheila Bleck.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

I didn’t think this was her absolute best routine, but the standards she sets herself are SO high that even so, she still had more than enough athleticiam, sensuality and artistry to make everyone else’s routine seem a little one-dimensional. If the routines were worth the amount of overall points they are in the Fitness division (66%), Sheila would have placed a LOT higher – and would have a lot more pro titles.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Watch Sheila in motion here – she’s on second after Rita Bello – though the monotone (and largely irrelevant to what we’re watching) commentary does distract (and detract) from Sheila somewhat, so you might want to turn the sound down.

The Howlin’ Wolf Award for Sexiest Routine (in any division)
SAMANTHA HILL‘s “Michael Jackson” routine

Juliana probably gave us the “Best” routine not just in the Physique division, but in any division. However, this is not an award for the “Best” routine, but the “Sexiest”, and for the FMS panel, there wasn’t a routine that came close to the unapologetically sexual energy of Samantha Hill‘s. It stank of sex. It was positively dripping in it.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

To tunes including a couple of Michael Jackson numbers, Samantha didn’t so much do a routine as move around suggestively, holding her position every now and then in a kind of pose. Throughout she looked as if she wasn’t trying too hard – sort of half-heartedly mouthing some of the words of the songs, for example – which gave her an air of “this is all a bit beneath me” arrogance that had hands reaching under the table in the FMS office, and, I dare say, all over the female muscle lovin’ world.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Not for a moment would I want you to think that I think Samantha actually wasn’t trying too hard, she just had that air about her, and it slayed me. I ended up in the 3rd callout after nailing my Michael Jackson routine, she told her Instagram followers. No, I may not have placed as high as I wanted but even stepping on the Olympia stage among the top 24 women in the world is an honor and a dream come true. Don’t worry I’ll be back! And when she is, there will be even more Samantha Hill fans than there were this time around. Well, at least one! FMS‘ new crush.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Watch Samantha drip in it from 16.40 here.

Enjoy!

On Beauty

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Given the subjects of the last three days here at FMS, it’s hardly surprising that I’ve been thinking about the beauty of muscular women rather a lot this week, but the ever-excellent Ryan Takahashi‘s excellent recent essay on The “Alternate Femininity” of Female Bodybuilders has also served as a source of today’s musings.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Mr Takahashi’s essay neatly debunks the myth that female bodybuilders are “masculine” just because their own particular brand of femininity is unconventional before turning more specifically to the concept of “beauty”. They [muscular and non-muscular women] are all beautiful… The only difference is how universally regarded their beauty is, he writes. Most of us can agree that Bar Rafaeli is super gorgeous. But not everyone can agree that Monica Martin is equally gorgeous.

imagebam.com

Now I’m not about to disagree with the man, but I guess it’s indicative of just how far I have immersed myself in the world of female muscle that I had to look Bar Rafaeli up. I had heard the name – I’m not completely out of touch(!) – but I’d never, as far as I knew, seen her before. There she was, in all her conventional beauty. And it turned out that yes, most men do apparently agree that she is, as Mr Takahashi puts it, “super gorgeous”. But not, it seems, me. Quite honestly, she left me cold.

I’ll give you another example. At the place I’ve been working recently there’s a young French female lawyer. The entirety of the male staff at the firm (well, the straight ones, anyway) are utterly smitten with her, and not just because she earns lawyer money! She’s a looker, as they say. But her beauty is a Bar Rafaeli kind of conventional beauty. I’d rather spend some quality time with the girl from the post room who does Muay Thai and who arrives at work all sweaty from her cycle in. I’m a minority of one.

The days when I would worry about this sort of thing are long gone. Why am I different? or What’s wrong with me? are not questions I ask any more. But I am asking myself another question: Suppose I’d never seen Bar Rafaeli or Monica before and you showed me a picture of just their faces. Suppose you did the same with the French lawyer and the post room girl. Suppose I knew nothing about them, that I just had their face to go on. Would I find Monica and Ms Muay Thai more beautiful?

imagebam.com

Is there something identifiably different about the faces of female bodybuilders and fit, muscular women more generally? Do they have (for want of a better word) “stronger” features, perhaps? Or is it more about their inner strength and confidence, and comfort in their own skin revealing itself somehow? Shining through their eyes or something? These are obviously not questions that I’m about to give a definitive answer to, but I will say that if you look at any before & after transformation picture you can see that it’s not just that the newly-muscular woman’s body has changed. The face has changed too. Leaner, yes, of course, but isn’t there something else as well?

imagebam.com

I haven’t always been so exclusive about associating facial beauty with physical beauty. Seven years ago I fell in love with my wife, and that was, at least initially, to do with how beautiful I thought she was. But since she’s got into working out (see FMS passim), I’d say that yes, her face has changed. She’s happier within herself, and that inner contentment is, I think, what’s making her even more beautiful to me.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I could well be over-analysing. It may be as simple as the fact that fit women have the healthy glow that comes from regular exercise and a clean diet. After all, isn’t the pilates teacher always better-looking than her students?! Nevertheless, I’ve always thought it would be interesting to reverse the experiment mentioned above. Does it work the other way around? Can men whose taste in women is more conventional tell when they’re looking at a muscular woman? If you show a non-female muscle head a picture of just the face of a muscular woman, would he find her beautiful?

imagebam.com imagebam.com

What exactly it would prove if he did I’m not exactly sure, maybe just that the muscle woman you chose was, as well as being unconventionally beautiful, also conventionally beautiful in many ways. And that’s not really the point, is it?! But at least it gave me an excuse to feature the undeniably gorgeous Mavi and Shannon (it’s back to Courtney again now, apparently), which is no bad thing.

So, what is my point?

I didn’t promise one, but I feel I should try to come up with one nevertheless…

While checking out Georgina McConnell‘s Instagram the other day I came across this: The woman who does not require validation from anyone is the most feared individual on the planet. It’s a quote attributed to London-based political writer Mohadesa Najumi (and you can search for more on her if you dare). Now, I doubt Ms Najumi had muscular women in mind when she came up with this little nugget, but she’d probably agree their utter lack of regard for the role society would have them play qualifies them as the “feared individual” type.

imagebam.com

When female muscle fans like me write about the Beauty of the Muscular Woman or whatever, are we not guilty of deluding ourselves that our words, our arguments, in some way “validate” their beauty? If so, I imagine Georgina McConnell and Mohadesa Najumi would accuse us of missing the point entirely. We flatter ourselves that they care what we think. They neither want nor need defending.

And I suspect it is this that I, you, and the rest of the brethren are really responding to. It’s not so much that the muscular woman offers an alternative concept of beauty, and more that she offers no invitation whatsoever for you to judge her beauty at all.

I started this post yesterday, and today, while having lunch with a colleague, the pretty young French lawyer came up. I confessed she didn’t do it for me. “Is it an ‘I’m married so I don’t talk about how hot some chicks are’ thing?” he wondered. Not at all, I said, and then I confessed I found the post room girl much more exciting. “Oh,” said my colleague, “You like chicks with the fuck-you attitude.” Shit, I said to myself. I’ve been blabbing away on this subject for hours and there it is, all succinctly put. Damn!

Fiction?

You know the feeling when you come across a female bodybuilder you’ve not been aware of before and she just takes your breath away. Or when you find a Tumblr blog, or a forum you didn’t know about, and they’re like just little goldmines.

And you think, why have I never heard of her, never heard of this, before?

Well, when I came across Her Muscular Grace on Tumblr, thanks to a repost on Shirtrippers of a story from way back in October 2012. Why have I never seen this before? I thought to myself. This is one of the most erotic stories I have ever read!

The blog is, in the words of the author, An artistic erotic experiment on the awe-inspiring subject of muscular females, and the essence of their relationship with the men who worship them, through short stories inspired by photos of said females.

It began with a bang in September 2012 with 16 pieces of fiction, got slightly less intense the following month with just three, and then there was nothing until a single post in January 2013, and that was it. Sadly, there hasn’t been anything since.

If you are or know of this author’s whereabouts now, I’d really love to get in touch.

By far my favourite piece is Warrior Queen, which I have taken the enormous liberty of reproducing here and adding images to the original photo of Zoa Linsey in full flow, which inspired the original piece, I believe. I have, though, kept the original (poetry like?) punctuation and spacing as far as possible.

Like all the best erotic female muscle fiction, it tells the story from a woman’s point of view (though not necessarily a muscular woman’s). Quite honestly, I find it so convincing that I wonder whether it is indeed a piece of fiction at all…

WARRIOR QUEEN

She groans and goes through one more rep. Teeth clenched. Veins popping.

I don’t care that I’ve paused in the middle of the gym.

I am a girl, a neophyte to the gym, watching in awe this display of muscle dominance. I am not alone.

Everyone in the gym has stopped in their tracks and are looking at Her.
Witnessing.

She’s in a trance, intoxicated with her fury.

“I don’t believe it, she’s pushing the whole stack” a guy next to me whispers in religious awe to no one in particular. I feel dizzy and grasp his arm, my heavy breasts brushing him.

He might think I’m coming on to him some part of me thinks.

I’m not and anyway he doesn’t.

Steadying myself I release him.

He’s also hypnotized by the sight of Her. Under the same spell. His mouth open.

She yells, a primal thing, and Her veins become angry snakes under Her skin. Blood pumping, Her face turns red.

She completes the movement. She must be done. Must Be.

But No.

One more rep.

I’m wet.

She roars, a barbaric scream, a howl and moves the metal. Her muscles expanding, growing as I watch, She defeats the steel.

Surely this is it.

“ONE. MORE!” She Demands and my knees grow weak.

I am on fire below, my tension following Hers, vibrating at the same frequency as Her titanic movements, building to release in tune to Her feat.

She will do this I realize. I do not know to what I’m referring to.

Unmistakable sounds of pleasure escape my mouth now. I moan. My breath becomes heavy.

I do not care, nor is there anything for it.

She is the Steel, She has locked on the Steel and She is One with it, bending it to Her will.

Her face contorted in rage, in pain.

Or is feverish ecstasy?

Rapture.

Orgasmic.

Hers are the sounds of Orgasm I realize. Fulfillment. Not pain but conquest.

As her muscles expand in one final thrust, she releases a scream, in triumph and holds it.

Holds it.

Holds it.

No one breathes. The tension is feverish.

I bite my lip. I taste blood on the tip of my tongue.

She controls the steel.

Only Now releasing the weights.

As they slam violently into place, I can feel, we can all feel, the tremor, a small quake.

I come.

Violently. Completely.

I close my eyes and my moan of surrender is swept in the sound of metal on metal.

Eventually,

Time starts again. Sounds of people and metal moving are heard.

I manage to place my ragged breath under a semblance of control.

I dare to raise my eyes.

She sits there still. A Warrior Queen on Her throne.

Looking straight at me.

Looking into me.

My eyes grow wide.
