Back Is Beautiful: Champion Backs

A veritable meat fest today as Back Is Beautiful continues with the magnificent backs of a selection of champions, both professional and amateur, from 2013.

(right) Olga Belyakova, IFBB World Amateur Champion

Belated congratulations to Tana, Canadian champion at the 7th attempt (she won the Masters 35+ title for the second consecutive year as well). And spare a thought for those women who sought to follow in Olga Belyakova‘s footsteps and become IFBB World Amateur Champion because currently the IFBB have decided to eliminate the bodybuilding class from that contest and all other IFBB amateur shows. Olga, sadly, may well be the last ever World Amateur Bodybuilding Champion.

Monique Jones, IFBB Chicago Pro Champion

One of the wonders of the female muscle world, Mmmonique displays her monumental back during a guest posing routine. I believe this is from a couple of years ago, and she hasn’t stopped growing in the meantime – she’s even bigger now! Swell’s been having a recurring dream involving Mmmonique’s back, some soft lighting, a bit of mood music and a bottle of massage oil. He’s been going to the laundrette with his bed sheets a bit more often than normal, too.

Virginia Sanchez Macias, Arnold Amateur Europe Champion

Virginia in bulbous off-season shape on the left, and lean and sweaty in the gym on the right. Hard to imagine the power those muscles contain (and what she might use the power they contain to do to me!) Did I say “hard”? I meant “fun”.

Victoria Dominguez, NPC Nationals Champion

As noted on FMS last November, Victoria (aka Mistress Treasure) became quite probably the naughtiest professional female bodybuilder by winning the NPC Nationals. The Muscled Dominatrix dominated her way to victory in the heavyweight category! she blogged after her win. Her back provides an almost perfect illustration of the wider the back, the tinier the waist seems. In 2014, she says she’ll be not only dominating behind closed doors, but also looking to dominate the stage.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
Silvana Imbrogno, UKBFF Champion

As reported on FMS in November, Aussie-born Silvana not only became the reigning British champion in 2013, but she also made bodybuilding history. At the UKBFF Midlands show Silvana became the first woman (we know of) to stand on stage and compete against men. By all accounts, she almost won the world’s first unisex posedown. There must be at least a couple of top male amateur bodybuilders around the Midlands who have taken inspiration from Silvana’s mass and conditioning.

(left) Jennifer Abshire, IFBB Toronto Pro Champion
imagebam.com imagebam.com
(right) Shawna Pierce, NPC Masters Nationals Champion

Hot and Hard 100 #21 Jennifer Abshire reckons her legs are her best body part, but looking at her from the rear during her victory at the Toronto Pro last year, Swell is sorry, but he has to disagree. And I reckon that beautiful back of hers goes at least part of the way to explaining Mrs Megan Abshire‘s “surprise” win at that show, which was her first show as a pro and her first for three years. Shawna Pierce ,aka Shawna Strong, meanwhile, has had a slightly longer road to pro status but this FMS Woman of the Year 2013 has finally made it. Here we see her showing all the men and the rest of the women on the beach exactly who the boss is.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
Tammy Jones, IFBB Tampa Pro Champion

Over ten years after her first competition (as a figure competitor), Tammy Jones won a highly competitive event according to one report, beating the likes of Rita Bello, Tina Chandler and Helle Nielsen to triumph in her first show as a pro. She’s an inspiration to single mothers everywhere… Well, no, actually she isn’t.
But she damn well SHOULD be!

imagebam.com
Shannon Courtney, NPC USA Champion

Witness the thickness. Witness the MEAT on FMS Readers’ 2nd Hottest Hard Woman in the World and genetic envy of budding female bodybuilders everywhere. Chocolate Muscle on Tumblr, for one, says, Shannon stresses me out!!! She has probably the best physique I’ve seen in a while, but at one point in time she almost decided to throw that away because she thought that IFBB was getting rid of FBB. That was until they came out with the IFBB 2014 schedule and there were not 4 (like last year), but 5 shows. Since then she has kept with bodybuilding. What stresses me out is that she almost got rid of it to compete at a smaller physique. Man, if I had her body… fuck competing if they cut FBB. I’d keep it just to keep it.

Iris Kyle, Ms International & Ms Olympia

And finally, it has taken years and years of work from some of the top minds in the world to find a dress fabric strong enough to contain the mighty mass of muscle that is Iris Kyle‘s back without ripping apart. And if you’re familiar with what happened straight after this photo was taken, you’ll know those fine minds are still at it.

Enjoy!

FMS Ms O Countdown: Jennifer & the Joneses

The IFBB Pro League in 2013 consisted of just three contests which Olympia hopefuls could enter in order to gain qualification for the big show. Two of the contests were won by women competing in their first professional show.

The first contest of the year, the Toronto Pro, was, rather controversially you may recall, awarded to Jennifer Scarpetta. It was not only her first pro show, but her first show of any kind for nearly three years. She had won her pro card at the first attempt as a bodybuilder at the NPC Nationals in 2010, so in terms of win percentages, she has an extremely impressive record. Since Toronto, Jennifer Scarpetta has become Jennifer Abshire after marrying her long-time girlfriend Megan Abshire. It’s been quite a year for her then. And though she’s extremely unlikely to keep that win percentage up and pull off the sort of result she did in Toronto, a good showing in her first Olympia would round it off nicely.

The other first-time pro winner was Tammy Jones, who, unlike Jennifer, took a few more goes at the Nationals before winning her pro card last year. Her memorable message to her doubters after her Nationals victory was reported in full by FMS in our contest review of 2012. Her win in Tampa, while less controversial than Jennifer’s, was no less surprising given the quality and combined contest experience of the women she beat, although I doubt Tammy was surprised. In an interview last year after her Nationals win she said, I’m very competitive and want to beat everybody. I’m not nice to people, I just want to win. My short-term goal is to put on a good 10 pounds of muscle and make it to the Olympia stage. I don’t just want to be on the Olympia stage, I want to be in the mix. I want to be in that top-five group. I want to win! So I’m working very hard to do that. Who’d bet against that kind of determination?

Sandwiched between those two shows was the Chicago Pro, won by Monique Jones for the second year running. After her victory last year, FMS said that there’s something about her frame that says future Ms Olympia, genetically it seems she has a lot of latent potential there that hasn’t been brought out yet. Well, I think it’s safe to say that Monique has brought out the genetic potential in a bucket in 2013. Unlike the other two 2013 winners, Monique has Ms O previous. This will be her third appearance, and FMS expects her to be challenging for the top 3 if she turns up in Las Vegas in anything like the shape she was in in Chicago.

Saint Valentina: (Still) Muscle Loved Up

The UK edition of FHM listed Tulisa Contostavlos as this year’s ‘Sexiest Woman in the World’. Now, have a look at Tulisa below, and compare her to the nameless fire fighter on the right, who, as far as I know, didn’t make the FHM list at all, and what’s more still wouldn’t have made the list if FHM readers had known who she was.

imagebam.comimagebam.com

Now remember, the vast majority of your peers, if given the choice, would be dreaming of a Valentine’s date with Tulisa. You, on the other hand, are thinking seriously about setting your house on fire right now. And so am I.

Let’s face it. We ain’t ‘normal’. If we were, our lives would be so much easier. As an example: Have you ever walked into a supermarket with women in it? Ever walked into a supermarket with a muscle woman in it? How about a bar? Same two questions.

imagebam.com
imagebam.comimagebam.com
imagebam.com

Neither have I. And I don’t expect to start bumping into lots of them any time soon. So where are they all? I’ll tell you. They’re at Annie Riveccio’s house having their photos taken by her and James Cook (part of me hates the guy for having all the luck but you have to admire him for actually getting out there and doing the damn thing). If they are not with Annie and James, they are at the herbiceps.com ‘Muscle Mansion’ or in that car park that almost every woman on ftvideo.com has frequented at one time or another (where is that car park and what are the rates?) Or they’re in the gym. Or at home. On webcam. And that’s your money they’re taking.

For a female muscle fan who dreams of something more romantic than a money transaction, who’s not lucky enough to have found a hardcore female bodybuilder in their gym (and even then, she’s unlikely to be there to flirt with you between sets), and who’s not ‘in the industry’, the chances of meeting the woman of your dreams are next to nothing. There’s no FBBmatch.com, no FBBeharmony (as far as I know, if there is please tell me!). What are you going to do? Place a lonely hearts ad?

prof. solvent male, NS, GSOH, 30, seeks woman with broader shoulders than mine for fun, poss. relationship. Steroid-users/pro FBBs especially welcome

imagebam.com

All in all, it’s highly unlikely that you spent Valentine’s with the woman of your female muscle dreams. Depressing? Maybe. But as the Rolling Stones remind us, you can’t always get what you want, and really, would you rather be like everyone else? Would you go back to your past and remove the experiences that led to you falling for female muscle? Do you really want to fancy the kind of women everybody else does? Do you really want to be ‘normal’?

imagebam.com

Of course you don’t. And neither do I. I remain as muscle loved up as ever.

Hope you enjoyed Saint Valentina’s week, and by the way, if any of you would actually like to try the lonely hearts ad, I’m sure we’d all be delighted to hear about it – especially if it works!

Winners of 2012: Part One

Our look back at the year gone by begins with a celebration of some of the women who have fulfilled the dreams for which they have sacrificed so much and worked so hard.

IFBB Europa Battle of Champions
ANNE FREITAS
imagebam.com

As images from the Freitas training camp of her prep emerged in the weeks before this contest, her victory was predicted by both those in the industry and fans alike before she had even set foot on the stage. As one forum poster put it: I would anticipate that she is gonna own her competition in Hartford on July 6-7th.

And she didn’t disappoint, her first win as a pro. Resulting predictions of her victory at the Olympia proved a bit wide of the mark, but do bear witness to the frenzy she had whipped fans into. One commentator summed up what many had been thinking: The last few months have been very interesting watching her transform into a massive ripped hulkess. She’s gotten absolutely massive. I love it.

IFBB North Americans
TAMMY JONES
imagebam.com

As always, it’s better to let Tammy herself have her say: I am just so excited I can’t stand it! I got my pro card! Thank you to all of you who have supported me throughout this journey… those that have sponsored me and have been loyal to me through thick and thin, for years and years. Those that no matter what place I took along the way, remained positive and encouraged me to keep going. Those that always had faith in me and proved it week to week by staying in touch, sharing their thoughts, sending cards or donations or flowers, “being there” for me when I needed it most… to answer those that now want to help celebrate in the victory but never took part in the hard work and for those that actually have the balls to ask for advice on training or diet, photos from shoots, letters, autographs (?), etc… and never once reached out to send a smile or good luck or any type of support, you probably won’t ever hear from me. By the way, it’s IFBB Pro to you now, not baby.

Word.

GLENESE MARKES

Double winner Glenese was Middleweight and Overall champ in New York in March, then Heavyweight and Overall champ at the Team Universe in July. Not content with these achievements, she then competed again at the IFBB North Americans (won by Tammy Jones, see above) and was runner-up in the Middleweight division. Phew!

Say what you like about the Physique class, but it’s not all bad, and the return of La Malacarne to the stage in New York in May is high on the list of 2012’s Reasons to be Cheerful. And of course she won! How could she not win? Look at her! Ai, Caramba!

NPC Masters Nationals
SHERRI GRAY

Don’t the Heavyweights always win? And if they don’t, the Light-Heavyweights clean up, don’t they? I don’t know much about these things, but it seems to me that to be the Middleweight winner and then to be the Overall winner is fairly unusual. But that’s what Sherri achieved in the 35+ Bodybuilding. And she’s not only causing a stir on stage, but also on the forums. Typical comments about Sherri posted recently include: At age 41 she just keeps getting HOTTER… Totally unbelievable… one of those rare women who look sexier with age… MILF of the century.

IFBB Toronto Pro
LISA GIESBRECHT
imagebam.com

The statuesque Lisa beat a small but high quality field for her first professional win, fast-tracking her way to the Olympia later in the year in her first season as a pro. Not at all bad for a woman who didn’t start competing until the age of 35, although perhaps less surprising when you know that Lisa says training is my life. And she’s not lacking in ambition either, with her eyes set firmly on the biggest prize of all: I’m excited about the future. I always am, no matter how I do in a show, I’m always excited, because I like the process. If you do it for the end result, lots of people would be disappointed because lots of people don’t even get a Pro Card, a lot of people don’t even win a show, or go to Olympia. So I’m happy that I’ve gotten to where I’ve got, but I’m also excited because I love the process of it. I love the training, I love the dieting, I’m excited about getting bigger. I’m going to keep my lines, I’m going to keep my femininity, but I do need to get some size if I want to be competitive. I’m excited about that though. You and me both, Lisa!

Twin Peaks of the Day

imagebam.com
This is the sort of one-week-to-contest look that really lets you see the muscle, the whole muscle and nothing but the muscle. In this case, it’s Tammy Jones providing the double-barrelled beef. If you’ve never visited her Journal of Thoughts, FMS recommends it unreservedly. There are two kinds of people in this world – ranters and whingers. You may not always agree with the ranters, but they are so much more entertaining to listen to, and Tammy is one of the best. Check it out and then revisit the image above and tell me you are not a little bit fearful that she is going to climb out of your screen and make you soil yourself. If you’ve ever seen the Japanese original Ring, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

It’s A Dog’s Life

Want to be a female bodybuilder’s bitch? Or maybe just their dog?
Coming back as one in the next life may be the only way…

imagebam.com imagebam.com
This unknown hottie isn’t just into exercising her own body. She’s also sensitive to her pooch’s needs. And what it needs is a bit of parklife.

imagebam.com
A powerful lady needs a powerful lady to keep her under control. No problems here for Wilyporn Wannaklang then. They are probably both a little frightening when worked up and in heat. Frightening in a good way.

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com
Tammy Jones, Fanny Palou and Lisette Valdes with their pampered pooches. Tammy’s kitty seems to be slightly jealous of not being the centre of attention, while Lisette’s looks particularly amazed with his luck.

Muscle girls next door. And their dogs.

imagebam.com
I’ve posted this before, wondering whether this dog wouldn’t rather chew on Christa Bauch‘s bicep than his rubber whatever. She’s obviously having fun though.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
The lovely Merle Mohr and not one, but two dogs. It’s obvious which is her favourite though. Is it wrong to be jealous of a dog?

imagebam.com imagebam.com
Merle isn’t the only one who has more than one dog in her life. Here’s Fanny again, with a different dog to above. One for out and one for home? Also, Dena Westerfield seems to be scaring the shite out of her Afghan, reminding us she is a doctor, not a vet.

A major hunkess like Tazzie Colomb can handle more than one. The lady in the middle is working her way towards that, starting small. KO could handle more, but chooses to stick to one for now. A big strong one.

Man’s best friend? Not if you are losing out on your muscle woman time because she’s getting naked with her canine! Sarah De Herdt and Annie Riveccio get intimate. Cross-species love can go too far! Not that the dogs seem to be complaining.

Look at him! He is checking out Brandi Akers‘ juicy bicep and licking his lips. Are we thinking what he’s thinking? Lucky mutt!

Enjoy!
