FMS Faves @NPC USAs 2014

Today, not one, not two, but THREE of the most gorgeous muscular women in the world for your viewing pleasure, all of whom have been celebrated on FMS before. All three competed at the recent NPC USAs, and although none of them received their pro cards on this occasion, all finished in the top three of their respective classes.

THERESA IVANCIK
3rd, bodybuilding (heavyweight)

Outconditioned by runner-up Joella Bernard, and outsized (and outconditioned) by heavyweight and overall champ Aleesha Young, Theresa, sadly, will have to keep her pro dreams on ice for a little longer. Now, I’m no expert (far from it) but as far as I can see, size doesn’t seem to be the issue – not upper body size, anyway. To me, she looks like she’s going to be utterly unbeatable in her Instagram “countdown” shots, then, on the day, it’s somehow not quite there on the stage.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

Nevertheless, she’s still relatively young for a female bodybuilder, and surely it’s only a matter of time before she does, finally, nail it and get that pro card she so covets. Placing 3rd at a huge national show is such an honor and I couldn’t be more excited! she told her Facebook followers after the USAs. Planning ahead to future shows is underway! She’s wondering whether to take a break, and she probably deserves it. Or do the Nationals in November? There’s a part of me hoping I’ll get just one more sight of Theresa in her posing suit before the end of the year… Yes, indeed.

BRIE EUBANKS
3rd, physique (D)
previously on FMSHot and Hard Countdown: 10 to 1

imagebam.com imagebam.com

Known for her abs and extreme vascularity (not to mention some super-naughty webcam shows), Her Brieness is, as voted by FMS readers, the 5th Hottest Woman in the World, and I seriously doubt the images we have of her doing her thing on stage at the USAs are going to make anyone feel that she finished too high on that list. She’s beautiful, no question, and was in great shape at the USAs, but there were other beautiful women in great shape on that stage with her. But Brie always seems to have that little indefinable extra. Maybe it’s in the facial expressions, maybe it’s just all in my head, but I just KNOW that when I see video of Brie from the show she is really going to “get my tap dripping”, as a certain Mr. C. Moore Glootz would say.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

She may not have won her class in Las Vegas, but I’m sure she won some hearts and minds among the female muscle headed members of the audience, and, as it turns out, she actually fared none too badly with the judges as well. So the scorecards have been released, she posted to her Iron Built blog, and not only did I miss 2nd by 1 point but I was ONLY 5 points shy of first! Now, she confesses, a part of me wants to go back to Vegas. Kind of want to own that show… but figured I should go where I haven’t been before. What do you think??? Comments will be considered…

Well, my considered comment is that Brie should appear at my house next.

SUSANNA HAND
2nd, bodybuilding (light-heavyweight)
previously on FMSSusanna (Bet You Can’t Keep Your) Hand(s Above the Table) @NPC Nationals 2013

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

We bemoaned her lowly placing at the NPC Nationals last year not because we thought it was unfair, but simply because it robbed us of another, say 20 to 30 images of Susanna, as 9th meant no evening show on that occasion. Luckily, there was no such problem here. Having finished 4th at the USAs in 2013, she was awarded runner-up in her class at this show, so the good news is we get to feast our eyes on this jaw-dropping muscular beauty in two posing suits this time. Hooray!

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

You may remember we reported that Susanna wasn’t exactly gagging to get her pro card: I don’t determine whether I am happy or feel successful based on that, she said before the Nationals last year. Still, she is getting closer all the time. Second represented her best finish at a national show ever at her fourth attempt – twice as a heavyweight and twice (including this time) as a light-heavyweight.

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

Perhaps next time will be fifth time lucky. She may not be hung up on winning that pro card, but the victors always get to hit a few more poses next to that trophy – so that would be another ten, maybe fifteen pics of Susanna for my enjoyment. So, good thing.

Enjoy!

Theresa Ivancik: Worth Celebrating

imagebam.com imagebam.com

It’s pretty hard to believe, looking at her now, but once upon a time Theresa Ivancik competed in figure. In 2010, I decided to make a switch to bodybuilding, she says. The figure girls now have the look of being too thin. I love the muscle look! If I’m going to lift, I’m going to lift! I loved hitting the weights and I loved the feeling of lifting heavy, the crazy pumps and harder intense training. A couple of years down the road, and female muscle heads all over the world had their eyes popping out of their sockets at the results of Theresa’s intense hard training, not least when they first saw what, I believe, has become one of the more well-known ‘before and after’ images.

imagebam.com

Maybe it’s the fact that she’s holding those dumbbells in the ‘before’, maybe it’s the fact that it’s not strictly speaking a ‘before’ at all – she’s already got plenty of muscle tone on that slender frame – but even the biggest fan of the biggest girls would surely have to admit that Theresa had something going on even then. But that doesn’t make the ‘after’ any less arresting. My she’d grown! She’d been beautiful ‘before’, but now that beauty was bathed in the kind of big, sexy, curvy muscle that you would have to be dead below the waist (probably for a good many years) not to be aroused by.

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

With her drop-dead looks, her penchant for low-cut dresses (no doubt she wanted to emphasise her pec line), [give me a break! – ed.] and those sumptuous and (seemingly) perma-tanned muscles, Theresa quickly became a favourite to many, and Swell and the rest of the FMS family were no exceptions. The images selected today are personal favourites, but really, from the gym to the glamour, whatever she was wearing, it’s actually proved impossible for me to find a bad picture of Theresa.

imagebam.com

I love the modeling side of bodybuilding, she told the peerless Promoting Real Women in February 2010. It’s a wonderful feeling to see the final product! Good to know it’s been as good for Theresa as it has for me! In modeling, she adds, I always make sure not to let the photographer photoshop my pictures for I want it to be the real me people see. As a result, it doesn’t seem to matter whether the image is the lit-to-bits work of a top photographer, or a simple holiday candid taken by her significant other, she’s always the real her, always nothing less than glorious to look at.

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

Back in April, FMS alerted readers to the fact that the very gorgeous Theresa Ivancik‘s return to competition was imminent (see Tube of the Week, April 9th). Well, Theresa, looking, as one reader predicted at the time of that post, insanely hot, wore her posing suit again at the beginning of May at the NPC Pittsburgh Championships.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

She placed 2nd. A cause for celebration? Well, yes and no.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

First the bad news. If you’re looking for evidence of the sorry state of female bodybuilding proper in the USA, and amateur female bodybuilding in particular, you could find it at this show. There were only three competitors in the female bodybuilding division – compared to 18 in three different physique classes, and over 50, spread over a number of different classes, in both the figure and bikini divisions.

For the previous two years, though, there had been no female bodybuilding division at all at the championships. To find any female bodybuilders at all at the NPC Pittsburgh, you have to go back to 2011, three years ago, when Theresa had finished 2nd in her class – one of four heavyweights in an overall field of just eight women.

I’m not saying that you should start popping the champagne because three female bodybuilders are better than none (though they are, infinitely, especially when one of them is Theresa Ivancik!). What I am saying is that the fact that there are women out there who continue to want to be competitive bodybuilders at all in such a climate is something we, the female muscle lovin’ brethren, ought to celebrate.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I’ve no doubt Theresa would have loved to have won in Pittsburgh, but for her this year is all about getting her pro card, and that was never going to have happened here. This year, for her, is all about the Nationals. And if Theresa wants to get pro status, I, for one, sincerely hope that pro status is what she gets. In the meantime, she’ll probably be getting back to her hard, intense training at the gym she co-owns with her trainer and long-term partner, Jeffrey Harlan. She’ll be helping her clients through some of that hard, intense training, and she’ll be marketing the line of protein she and her partner (hate him yet?) have developed. And I don’t doubt she’ll continue to smoulder away in those low-cut dresses for our viewing pleasure.

imagebam.com

And as if that isn’t enough to get you in the mood for a celebration, we have a whole new round of contest countdown pictures of Theresa and her ever-growing, crazy pumped muscles to look forward to as the Nationals approach.

Enjoy! And celebrate!

Prof. Pennypacker’s Pectarium

from Pennypacker’s diary 6th January 2012
Made my first gif today from a favourite clip with Christine Envall and learned a new word: ‘forverse’. The alpha female is admired by a lesser woman, who runs her hands over Christine’s shoulders and chest. Back and forth, back and forth. I’m as proud of this as I am any of my achievements as a mathematician and teacher, not because it was difficult, it’s just rather satisfying to watch. A small contribution to the world of female muscle worship. I have posted it to one of the fan forums.

imagebam.com

Some of you may recognise the professor’s username ‘Profetik’ from one or more of the forums. His gif of Christine being touched up was the first of many he would make and post, gifs that would eventually make their way into The Pectarium.

Pennypacker on power
Envall and women like her, women who make little or no concession to the roles or norms associated with their sex, or, more accurately, seem to deliberately defy and transgress as far as possible from them, possess immense power. Of course this power is partly physical – they are extremely strong, but it is also mental – they are determined, bloody-minded almost, in their pursuit of such singular goals – and in addition to that, it is sexual. Yes, there are many men who would find them abhorrent (or at least profess to doing so), but at the same time there are also many men to whom she is the ‘perfect’ woman; a sexual fantasy come to life …

imagebam.com imagebam.com
imagebam.com imagebam.com

… I wonder how I would react in the presence of such power. I was never what you might call ‘good’ with the ladies, never got to have much practice, but I doubt any man is prepared for his first encounter with such an abundantly powerful woman.

from Pennypacker’s diary 6th January 2012
I dreamt of female bodybuilders last night. A commune of them I stumbled upon during my morning walk. I was utterly tongue-tied yet they knew what I was thinking and replied to my thoughts. Many of them were recognisable – Colette Nelson, Gina Davis, Denise Hoshor and Gayle Moher among them. I woke with the kind of morning glory I have not experienced since I was very very much younger. Is this new passion of mine enhancing my virility? I certainly hope so!

imagebam.com

Many of the professor’s diary entries from the last year of his life detail his rediscovered libido, his reinvigorated loins, and reinterest in masturbation. Many of these entries were used as evidence of his ‘mental regression’ by the contestants during the will hearing, but no firm scientific evidence was provided by the contestants’ lawyers that vigorous and frequent masturbation reveals mental failings.

from Pennypacker’s diary 18th March 2012
I am absolutely convinced that my passion is extending both my sexual life and my vocabulary. Two or three years ago I might have thought cable flyes was some kind of adventure sport. Now I know them when I see them. And I know I like them!

imagebam.com

from Pennypacker’s diary 20th March 2012
Came across a blog whose American author posts clips of himself masturbating over images of his favourite female beefcakes. I immediately went out and bought the first decent camera I could find and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to make my own version of such a clip. Nothing I’m totally happy with yet – though I am happy that I can masturbate like a teenager again. When I do make a satisfactory clip I am determined to send it to him. Maybe my ‘tribute’ will end up on his blog.

Throughout the remainder of the spring of 2012, as the old barn on his property was renovated and made ready to house The Pectarium, the professor’s idea of what he was creating shifted quite significantly from a place to house an archive to a place in which he could indulge in the pleasures these extracts show he was already enjoying.

Future Goddesses

In my virtual life (and I dare say yours too) the vast majority of women I see have muscles. All I have to do is power up, go to one of my favourite sites, and there they are. Hundreds, thousands of them. But when it comes to real life, I almost never see a woman with any noticeable amount of muscularity.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I’m not expecting to walk out of the house and bump into a Sarah Hayes clone at the corner shop (nice as it would be), I’m under no illusions that pro female bodybuilders are everywhere. I’m thinking more of the unknown women, the women often referred to as the ‘Muscle Girl Next Door’.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I don’t live in London anymore, but neither do I live in the middle of nowhere. Surely you would think I’m going to see a few of those from time to time. But sadly, I don’t. And if I think back to when I did live in London, I didn’t see a lot of them there either. So who exactly do they live next door to?

Despite my (quite understandable) scepticism, they really are out there somewhere. Back in the days when trips to the newsagent’s was the only way to get my fix of female muscle, the women I saw were only ever big name bodybuilders or fitness competitors. Now, any woman who wants to share her newly-developed muscles with the world can do so, and fortunately for the female muscle head, lots of them are so inclined.

imagebam.com

So they really are out there somewhere. And they’re not just posting images of themselves proudly flexing their new bits for our enjoyment, on muscle forums they’re asking for training tips, discussing nutrition, giving each other support and encouragement, and (as women are so good at doing) talking about how they feel about themselves and their bodies.

I just noticed a few days ago that my under arm jiggle went away! Now, my entire arm is firm.

A few weeks ago I frightened myself in the bathroom while I was washing my hands…I saw my arms in the mirror and there were these two balloons of biceps and flexing muscles in my lower arms.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

My arms have always been wimpy, like I’d flex and tell my boyfriend to feel my bicep and he’d say “well, flex it!” AND I WAS FLEXING ALREADY! Haha. Pathetic little arms! NOW They are getting much more defined, and you can actually see them get BIGGER when I flex!

imagebam.com

For the first time ever, I can actually see my abs in the mirror now thanks to re-working my diet and doing a lot of cardio.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I love when I find new lines. My biceps have recently begun to show more and my inner thighs… the sexiest muscle!

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I’ve just recently noticed that I’m starting to see my triceps, and my shoulder muscles are more defined. I just realized this last night and I’m sooooo excited!

imagebam.com imagebam.com

This morning while I was brushing my hair I noticed that I could see the muscles moving. Then I spent a few shameless minutes flexing and watching in the mirror.

imagebam.com

Women feeling positive about having muscles and sharing that feeling can inspire others to do the same and add to the amount of female muscle in the world, which is, I’m sure you will agree, just wonderful. But there is another reason to celebrate the ‘Muscle Girl Next Door’.

Last month, I came across an article in the Mail Online that reported that Faddy diets and fears that muscles aren’t feminine have left modern women weaker than their grannies. In the article, London-based physiotherapist Sammy Margo says we are facing a massive epidemic of weak women who have no muscle strength. Both skinny and overweight women face health problems in the future. The skinny have no muscles to support their skeleton while the overweight women have no muscles under the fat. Lack of muscle may lead to problems such as osteoporosis and fractures, arthritis and back pain.

It takes only a cursory comparison of the covers of men’s and women’s magazines to understand the differences in what motivates men and women to exercise, says the article. While men strive to get ‘the ultimate six-pack’ and ‘more body bulk now’, women’s objectives tend to be negative – to lose fat and burn calories rather than gain strength. The majority of young females want to look thin. They don’t eat much, they don’t exercise much, and because of that they have weak musculatures – it’s really not a healthy way to be.

The ‘Muscle Girl Next Door’ then, is not only looking better (although that’s just our opinion), and feeling better, but they are also more than a few sets ahead of the vast majority of their peers when it comes to strength and future health.

imagebam.com

As a reflection of this, I think I’m going to stop using the phrase ‘Girl Next Door’. It’s not only inaccurate in the specific sense that it doesn’t apply to my neighbours (past or present), but it’s also inaccurate in the general sense that the vast majority of women are, according to the article anyway, totally lacking in any muscle at all.

imagebam.com imagebam.com

I propose ‘Future Goddess’ as a better description. Again, for two reasons. Number one is that, well, every muscle goddess started out as a ‘Girl Next Door’, so even if only one of these hundreds and thousands of budding muscle babes make it to the pros, they are all potential goddesses. Secondly, well, if the research reported in the article is to be believed, these women will, in the future, seem like goddesses compared to their peers: strong and dynamic as opposed to hunched and arthritic.

imagebam.com
Theresa Ivancik (from Area Orion)
Every goddess was once a ‘Future Goddess’

They’ll be a breed of super women. Super women who bucked the trend and encouraged others to do so too. They will grow in number, and with a bit of luck, one of them might move in next door!

imagebam.com

Hail the Future Goddess!
